About Mickey
Mickey is a pro slackliner- a habit he picked up while he was working on his master's degree in physics (yep!) at the Colorado School of Mines. He was quickly noticed by Gibbon Slacklines and began traveling the world, winning competitions and performing live for spectators at destinations from high above the Las Vegas Strip to the beaches of Dubai and becoming a 3-time Red Bull Slackline Champion.
Mickey is an overall adventure sports athlete, and he's passionate about skiing, kayaking, parachuting, skating, and climbing. As shown on the Ellen Show, in January 2017, Mickey was skiing at Arapahoe Basin in Colorado when a friend-of-a-friend he was skiing with had an accident that left him unconscious and hanging by his backpack strap from the chairlift. Mickey used his skills from "slacking off" to scale the lift tower, scoot across the lift cable and successfully cut his buddy free.
